VENUS POMBA 2008 I was shown a small plaster figure at the Museum of Folklore, which obviously combined the familiar Venus by Botticelli with Pomba Gira. Although modest in scale and execution, it is a first class example of the transferability of myths. (As of course is St Jorge/Ogum.) |
