Toasted Susy 2012 The full quote is " Toasted Susy is my icecream" Gertrude Stein. I first used this quote to end my illustrated talk as a student at the RCA in 1972. This is the final work painted for my Mcmanus show. It includes the row of kids outfits from a pre carnival Rio market and the image of the novice and host comes from a voodoo altar in the Horniman Museum London. |
