TOYS FOR BOYS 1983-85 I visited Chicago in 1984 and immersed myself in the art of the "Hairy Who" in the museums and Phyllis Kind Gallery. particularly Art Green, Roger Brown and Jim Nutt. I bought lots of pre and post war magazines and catalogues from a store on Clark and Grand called the Golden Age of Nostalgia and was fortunate to find a Marshall Fields Catalogue, artist illustrated, from 1936. the perfect source book. |
