KAZAPMA 1992 The upper half of this work was painted on site over four days, in a temperature which reached 40degrees c. The site is the old pilgrim's road to Asklepion/Epidauros where some of the earliest evidence of medical practices and surgery were excavated. The last addition to the painting was the light screen of corn which was added in the studio from a handful of stalks picked as I was leaving the site. |
