Dreaming in Colour No 3.
Feb 2019

My work is the sum total of many references and the origin of this ,the final painting in the series" Dreaming in Colour", is a small painted collage which determined the composition. The Ganesha is my composite from several sources. The peripheral imagery is based on folk painting on the tailgates of lorries photographed outside Cochin, Kerela. References also include fishingboats from the Bay of Bangal and the Indian flag. In the lower panel, two mandalas fill the space, the left a swastika and the right a star within a Lotus flower.
