THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION 1999 This work is based on a painted woodcarving at the Carvalho Fazenda in Brazil. It reminded me of Francisco de Zurbaran and I made a reference to "The Immaculate Conception with Two Noblemen", quoting his Putti in the background. |
